"City Limits" sculpture

A condensed study in light, structure, and accumulation.

Constructed from optical crystal, borosilicate, and dichroic glass, this piece is built through the precise placement and integration of over 200 individual elements. Each layer is cut, arranged, and permanently fixed—forming a dense internal field that interacts continuously with light.

As illumination moves across the surface, color emerges from within. Reflections overlap, refract, and shift—creating depth that extends beyond the physical boundaries of the form.

Despite its scale, the object carries a visual weight far beyond its size—holding complexity within a tightly contained structure.

Every surface is hand-shaped and polished to optical clarity, allowing the internal composition to remain fully visible and active.

The piece is paired with a minimal display base, designed to support the form without interrupting its interaction with light.
