Hand-carved from Afghan lapis lazuli, this piece transforms the chain link into a sculptural object. Shaping stone into a true structural link form requires far more precision than most people realize — every curve, opening, and wall thickness has to be carefully controlled so the piece keeps its strength while still feeling refined.

That balance is part of what makes work like this so uncommon. Stone is unforgiving, and forms like these leave little room for error. Too much pressure, too much removal, or poor proportioning can weaken the entire piece. Achieving this level of finish, structure, and wearability in carved stone is not something often seen.

The lapis is polished to a high sheen, revealing its deep saturated blue and subtle natural variation. A hand-fabricated Argentium 925 silver loop completes the form, welded and finished to match the stone’s weight and presence.
