π§π± Rainbow Moonstone
Poseidon II β Rainbow Moonstone
A highly transparent rainbow moonstone from a recent find near Andilamena in northeastern Madagascar.
The natural outline of the rough already resembled a water droplet, making it the perfect starting point for the return of Poseidon. The pavilion builds from the framework of the original design, while the crown and concave fantasy work were created specifically for this stone. The finished pattern unexpectedly revealed the shape of a sand dollar beneath the surface.
The moonstone displays flashes of blue, gold, green, and violet that move across the stone as it turns. Its exceptional transparency allows the internal pattern to remain clearly visible, while a small natural feather structure and a few minor inclusions confirm its natural formation.
This material was recently highlighted by GIA as one of the yearβs hottest gemstone materials.
