"Galaxy Gem"
A study in scale, light, and internal structure.
This large-format optical glass form is constructed from laminated dichroic layers, precision-cut into a 97-facet geometry. At its center, the mass opens—revealing a hollow core that allows light to pass through and refract across the internal planes.
As the piece rotates, those layers become visible through the table, shifting in depth and color. External facets reflect and scatter light outward, creating a constant exchange between interior and surface—never fixed, always changing with movement and environment.
The form is grounded on a minimal rotating base, allowing the piece to move freely and continuously alter its visual state.
Every surface is cut, shaped, and polished by hand to achieve optical clarity and sharp geometric definition.
