"Stargazer" telescope

Stargazer — an optical instrument reimagined as sculpture.

Formed from laminated dichroic glass and shaped entirely by hand, Stargazer exists between object and experience. A brass eyepiece meets a body of layered color—while synthetic opal elements remain suspended within, catching and scattering light as the piece shifts.

The telescope is fully functional, offering magnification through a lens that transforms not just distance, but perception itself. Light passing through the dichroic structure fractures into saturated bands of color, creating depth both within the object and across whatever is viewed through it.

It rests within a clear glass base embedded with opal—lifting the form while extending its internal language of light and reflection.

Every angle reveals a different state. Nothing remains fixed.
