"Lightyears" pendulum clock
A sculptural object of light, time, and perception.
Constructed from layered optical and dichroic glass, this piece is built through a slow process of cutting, laminating, and cold-working until the surface reaches full optical clarity. At its apex, a hand-formed borosilicate implosion encases synthetic opal—capturing a suspended moment within the structure.
As light passes through the form, the sculpture continuously shifts—color, saturation, and reflection evolving with movement, environment, and angle. No single view is fixed.
Every surface is shaped and refined by hand, ground and polished over time to achieve its final precision.
A functional timepiece is integrated into the work, quietly keeping rhythm beneath the shifting light.
